School Subjects

The school has a proud academic record and an exceptionally well-qualified and dedicated staff.
Grade 8 & 9
Curriculum 2005 and Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) involve the following learning areas:

Grade 10 & 11

The NCS (National Curriculum Statement) has been fully embraced by Edenvale High School.  Seven subjects have to be taken by the learners, 4 of which are compulsory and 3 of which are selected by the learner.  All subjects are offered on a General Grade. i.e. there is no longer Higher and Standard Grade.  No specific groupings of subjects are required. The subjects to be taken are as follows:

  • MATHEMATICS OR MATHEMATICAL LITERACY
  • LIFE ORIENTATION
