GRADE 8 ADMISSIONS FOR 2024

To apply, parents and guardians must log into: www.gdeadmissions.gov.za.

The website will go live on Thursday, 15 June 2023 at 08:00AM. 

Applications will then close on Friday, 14 July 2023 at 00:00AM (Midnight).

Certified documents required are:

1. Parents' ID (Both parents)

2. Learner birth certificate OR Passport & study permit

3. Latest Grade 7 report

4. Proof of address 

        - Municipality bill in parent/guardian name (not older than 3 months)

           or if RENTING

        - Lease agreement and Municipality bill of the property owner and ID of homeowner. 

          ALL ADDRESSES WILL BE VERIFIED BY THIRD PARTY. 

 

NO AFFIDAVITS, BANK STATEMENTS, OR LETTERS FROM EKURHULENI WILL BE ACCEPTED.

 

We urge parents and guardians to certify and scan the documents beforehand. All documents must be uploaded within seven days of applying online.

 

Parents will receive SMS notifications regarding the verification of their documents.  Keep an eye on the online systems for the progress of your application.

SMS notifications will be sent out via the online system regarding placement offers which they need to accept or decline.  These placement offers will be sent out after 4 September 2023.

The Placement of Applicants

The placement of applicants with documents uploaded within the regulated period will be prioritized.  It must be noted that placement will be conducted as per the following admissions regulations:

1. Home address within the feeder zone (feeder zone is a mapped area and not a 5km radius)

2. Siblings (school will verify proof)

3. Work address

4. Within a 30km radius

5. Beyond a 30km radius
