Grade 8 Admissions for 2023



The application period will start at 08h00 on the 22 July for Grade 8 applications and will close at midnight on the 19 August.

Parents and guardians will only receive SMS notification of placement offers between the 3rd - 31st October 2022 to which they must either accept or decline online.


Your cellphone number is critical when applying as all communication will be via SMS.

We urge parents and guardians to certify documents and scan them beforehand. Once registered, scanned documents can be uploaded. All of the certified documents must be uploaded within 7 days of applying.

All documents must be certified before you upload them.

  1. Parent ID (of both parents - if a parent ID is not available: a death certificate or Affidavit is required)

  2. Learner’s birth certificate 

  3. Proof of home address (municipal account, not older than 3 months or a certified lease agreement in your name)

  4. Proof of work address on a company letterhead (if applying using this criterion)

  5. Latest school report (Term 1 2022).


Additional documents required if the applicant is not a South African citizen are: 

  • Valid Study Permit

  • Temporary or permanent residence permit from the Department of Home Affairs; or

  • Evidence that you have applied for permission to stay in South Africa (Receipt from Home affairs)


Do not bring the documents to the school, online submission only.

Please note the prescribed order of preference is learners living in the allocated feeder area, then siblings (proof of sibling may be requested) and only then the work address criteria.


Parents and guardians will be given until 29 August 2022 (7 days after the application period ends) to upload or submit their documents. However, documents that are uploaded or submitted after the application period closing date, will be considered incomplete applications and will only receive a placement at a school with available space from 1st-15th December 2022.

SMS notifications will be sent informing applicants whether their application was successful or unsuccessful.  This means that the school has verified all your documents as being correct. 


The placement of applicants with documents uploaded within the regulated period will be prioritized. 

It must be noted that placement will be conducted as per the following admission regulations:


  1. Home address within feeder zone

  2. Siblings

  3. Work address

  4. Within a 30 km radius

  5. Beyond a 30 km radius
